ヴェトナム戦争時、アメリカ軍は多くの偵察部隊を編成しジャングルに送り込んだ。
そんな偵察部隊のひとつである「コロラド」の隊員、にはBDU一式を黒に染めているものが散見される。
これらは当時の北ヴェトナム軍事顧問団の黒い軍服を真似たものと言われている。

現地で調達したタイガーカモフラージュを現地で後染めしたものであるため、
当然ながら染はあまく、模様が浮き上がる仕上がりになっている。
リアルマッコイズの一着も当時と同様の手法で後染めされており、色の個体差が味わい深い。

The M-65 Field Jacket has become iconic since being originally on the battlefield. We have taken the original and examined the details down to the finest points, recreated from deadstock parts and manufactured our own cloth to be as close to the original as possible.

The M-65 Field Jacket features two hand pockets and two large chest pockets, ideal for carrying everyday essentials. The Talon zipped collar of the M-65 contains a lightweight roll out hood using the same material as the 50/50 Cotton/Polyester lining suitable for light showers. 

This field jacket also has buttons on the inside which allows for an attachable quilted liner which we also produce (MJ18112), making this jacket suitable for wearing all year round.
